blanca & delgis
Blanca, originally from antigua, guatemala, always knew she would return to have a destination wedding in her hometown. Blanca & Delgis were surrounded by 200 of their closest family and friends as they celebrated in incredible ruins – the church and convent of las capuchinas – which was built in the classic 18th century architecture and was actually the last convent built in Antigua! Below is a small snippet of their week long wedding with family and friends!

After 17 years of dating, Patti and Dave decided to tie the knot! A uniquely restored former church with tons of natural light on a cute little island 13 miles off the shore of Rhode Island called Block Island was the perfect backdrop for their summer wedding! Patti and I talked a few times before her wedding and knew we were on the same page visually about what she was looking for for wedding photos, but it wasn’t until we actually met at her cute little shop called Salt in Mystic, CT that I knew that this would be one epic wedding! She has an incredible aesthetic and knew that the wedding would be effortless and beautiful. Their 17 year love story was shining so brightly on their beautiful wedding day in September!

from the couple: The moment we walked into the Villa at SJC, I knew it was where I wanted to marry Hayden. It felt as though we were truly in a small, intimate villa in Italy. With its character, greenery, and charm, I immediately fell in love with everything it had to offer. There were two very important things to us while searching for our wedding venue: 1) an all outdoor space and 2) an all outdoor space that could accommodate both ceremony and reception. The Villa made our dreams come to life! We knew we didn’t want to compete with any of the Villa’s natural beauty, so we chose decor and elements that would only compliment not only the space, but us as a couple. Rustic, romantic and intimate, yet bright, warm, and welcoming. Thanks to all of our incredible vendors, our wedding day came to be more beautiful than I had ever envisioned.

Sammi & Rob’s backyard wedding at their family home. This very spot that they are saying their vows, her grandparents home, is the same spot Sammi’s parents tied the knot 30 years prior.
From Sammi: Rob and I were on the same page from the start, our wedding was going to be a party where guests left feeling the love. We met in 2012 while both working for AOL (that is also where we met the one and only Abby Larson!), and pretty much haven’t spent a day we are both in town apart ever since. I am not an easy person to surprise, but Rob nailed the proposal…which overall could not have been more us – still in bathing suits, straight out of the ocean, on the beach, and the perfect combination of having it be a private moment and then getting to celebrate with our family and friends afterwards.

Also, Sammi’s aunt is the one and only iconic Annie Leibovitz and I definitely had a few pinch me moments during the day. She gifted Sammi & Rob a portrait session during their wedding day and was so kind enough to let me document the moments.
